REQUIREMENTS FOR PARTICIPATION
Students must meet minimum health requirements and have no history of cardiovascular disease or high blood pressure.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
Become a Level 1 Basic Paragliding Pilot.
Perform basic flights independently (under the supervision of an instructor).
Part 1: Theory
General introduction to paragliding.
Paragliding equipment & basic flight principles.
Assessing weather conditions & flight terrain.
Flight and traffic principles.
Flight safety requirements.
Part 2: Ground Skills Practice
How to determine wind direction & speed.
Preparing and checking equipment before flight: parachute canopy, harness, helmet, radio…
How to inflate the parachute canopy and check the lines.
Skills in controlling the parachute canopy and taking off.
Folding and storing the parachute.
Signals and communication during flight.
The simulator controls flight direction, handles flight situations (shake-ups, etc.), and processes various situations to ensure flight safety.
Emergency Landing
Part 3: Airborne Flight (10m)
Taking off from the ground, acclimatizing to altitude.
Maintaining flight direction and landing safely in the correct posture.
Part 4: Gliding (over 100m)
Flight 1: Flying straight, maintaining speed and direction.
Flight 2: Changing flight direction under control.
Flight 3: Completing a simple flight and maintaining altitude, basic wall-climbing skills.
Part 5: Course Summary Assessment
Written test.
The course summary assessment shows that students are equipped with the basic knowledge and skills to fly safely under appropriate limitations.
